Less of these try, die, repeat mechanics that you see so much of in this game. Whilst in INSIDE, it was a puzzle in the sense that you could look at it, figure out what you have to do, and do it. You try something, you die, you try something else. Also, the puzzles in LIMBO feel much more like it's purely trial and error. In this aspect, it feels like it's simply a darker version of Super Mario Bros U. This game feels much more like a puzzle platfomer- there are a lot more puzzles to solve- most of which are a lot harder than the 2nd but again, I preferred the 2nd game where it was more focused on the visual story telling aspect of the game BEFORE it is a puzzle platfomer and the puzzles aren't so difficult that it takes you out of the story aspect, whilst LIMBO feels like it's 95% puzzle platform only. Gameplay seems more simplistic than the 2nd one as well, and feels a little uninspired. Game is entirely monochromatic this time- preferred those rare splashes of colour in the 2nd game. There is no discernible story- only that people and things seem to be out to kill him. unfortunately potentially movable objects merge with other dark objects (due to the graphic style) good sound effects and ambient music (but still a bit better in Inside) unlike Inside, you drown immediately in the water generally more difficult than the successor Inside few puzzles difficult to understand (never had that feeling with Inside) I liked Inside a little better than Limbo in some respects. You will also look in vain for great menus or further information.įor about 1-2 days, these are successful titles that can be fun, but there is not much more to the games. The story in both games is rather subtle and leaves room for interpretation. Graphically and stylistically, however, Inside appealed to me more than the monochrome world of Limbo. This can also go towards frustration without help. Where Limbo offers the more difficult puzzles. Limbo+Inside: The games are very similar in style, they are so-called puzzle platformers.
